Global Automakers opposes adoption of the California Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) program, including greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), standards, in the state of Colorado. Global Automakers provided testimony to the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission to this effect, raising concerns with the lack of environmental benefits while increasing costs and with agency authority to adopt this rule. Global Automakers also suggested that whether or not this regulation is adopted, additional complementary policies are needed to support reducing GHG in the state and ensure consumers choose to buy green vehicles.
