WASHINGTON, DC, OCTOBER 23RD, 2017 – The Association of Global Automakers (Global Automakers) is pleased to announce that Isabel Villa-Garcia has joined the Association as State Government Affairs Manager. Villa-Garcia will play a major role in expanding and enhancing Global Automakers’ state advocacy network by working with legislators, governors and their staffs on legislative activities that impact the Association and its member companies.
“Isabel brings a wealth of public policy experiences to the State Government Affairs team,” said Damon Porter, Director of State Government Affairs for Global Automakers. “Her experience will be extremely valuable to us as we work to navigate the changing policy environment across the country and meet our strategic priorities and objectives.”
Villa-Garcia joins Global Automakers from North Carolina where she was the Legislative Affairs Director for the North Carolina Association of REALTORS®. She previously advocated for the NC School Boards Association, and was on staff at the N.C. General Assembly before starting her lobbying career. Isabel has a B.A from North Carolina State University and will be receiving an M.P.S in Political Management from George Washington University in December of 2017. She speaks three languages, and is a lifelong Raleigh native before her recent move to Washington, D.C.
