Global Automakers' members help build a dynamic American automobile industry. Thanks to the investments of our members in the U.S., this dynamism is seen in states like Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Alabama, California, and Michigan. Our members continue to help the U.S. maintain its leadership and global competitiveness.

Global Automakers support the adoption of free trade policies as it leads to expanded competition and improved consumer choice. The Association advocates for open investment and the removal of trade barriers.

Global Automakers submitted comments to the United States Trade Representative (USTR) on the inclusion of Japan in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). The Association believes that a TPP including Japan will promote economic growth, increase jobs, benefit consumers, and enhance the global competitiveness of U.S. and other TPP producers.

Global Automakers submitted comments to the United States Trade Representative (USTR) in support of the proposed Transatlantic Trade and Investment Agreement (TTIP). The Association supports the expansion of international trade and endorses negotiations toward that objective.

WASHINGTON, DC, APRIL 12, 2013 – Global Automakers is pleased with today’s announcement by the United States Trade Representative welcoming Japan’s participation in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) free-trade talks.  The Association supports the expansion of international trade and has encouraged the broadest possible participation in the TPP, including that of Japan, Canada, and Mexico.

WASHINGTON, DC, OCTOBER 12, 2011 – The Association of Global Automakers (Global Automakers) applauded Congressional action today that approved the long-awaited U.S. free trade agreements with South Korea (KORUS), Colombia and Panama. As the trade association that represents 15 international motor vehicle manufacturers, Global Automakers has long supported these trade agreements, especially the KORUS.
