Public Policy Communications Internship

Job Description: 

The Association of Global Automakers is seeking a paid communications intern to work 25 hours per week in our Washington, DC office (1050 K St, NW, Suite 650).  The successful applicant will work directly with the Communications Team at Global Automakers.  Activities will include:

  • Monitoring the news, blogs, and social media sources for auto industry developments
  • Participating in Association committee and public relations agency team meetings
  • Attending and reporting on industry events:  press conferences, Congressional hearings and issue briefings
  • Providing support with crafting and updating marketing and communications materials on the Association’s website and social media channels
  • Maintaining media contact database 
  • Conducting research related to issue areas 
  • General administrative duties as required 
Qualifications: 

Applicants must have excellent writing and research skills, experience using social media in a professional capacity, and an interest in public policy and communications.  This opportunity is only available to full-time or part-time students.
