Vehicle Sales in Delaware

New ZEV sales in CY 2018 were up by 127% compared to 2017. Last year, 629 new ZEVs were sold.
1.3% of all new vehicles sold in Delaware in CY 2018 were ZEV versus 6.3% in California, and 1.5% nationwide.

Laws & Incentives

States offer a variety of incentives for zero emission vehicles, including vehicle rebates or tax credit, electric vehicle charging station incentives, workplace charging programs, special high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) or high-occupancy toll (HOT) lane access, and/or fleet purchasing requirements.

ZEVs are zero emission vehicles and include battery electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).
