The Association of Global Automakers today shared its strong support of the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement (KORUS FTA). In a Statement for the Record for the Senate Committee on Finance Subcommittee on International Trade, Customs and Global Competitiveness's hearing “The U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement: Lessons Learned Two Years Later,” Global Automakers stressed the agreement’s positive impact on the U.S. auto industry. In the two years since the agreement’s implementation in 2011, Global Automakers’ members have already begun exporting thousands of U.S.-made vehicles to Korea under the terms of the KORUS FTA, supporting thousands of American jobs.
