WASHINGTON, DC, NOVEMBER 11, 2014 –The Association of Global Automakers (Global Automakers) welcomes Pratima Gangopadhyay as its new Environment and Energy Affairs Analyst. She will support the Association’s development and execution of environmental and energy regulatory issues impacting the auto industry.
Prior to joining Global Automakers, Gangopadhyay was a Clean Energy Fellow at the American Biogas Council where she researched, monitored and reported on relevant legislation and regulations at both the state and federal level. “Pratima brings valuable technical expertise and a passion for policy issues,” said Global Automakers’ Director of Environment and Energy Affairs Julia Rege. “With her fresh perspective on the automotive regulatory environment she is a great addition to our team.”
Gangopadhyay also worked at Hazen and Sawyer in New York City as an assistant engineer. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering and Master of Science in Environmental Science from New York University–Polytechnic School of Engineering.
