WASHINGTON, DC, MARCH 15, 2011 – Members of the Association of Global Automakers (Global Automakers) took eight of the top ten spots on the TrueCar.com’s ranking of most fuel efficient vehicles. Honda, Hyundai, and Toyota models led the list. Nine of the ten vehicles listed were hybrids except for the Hyundai Elantra.
“The presence of a non-hybrid vehicle on the list reveals how far conventional gasoline powered cars have come and demonstrates that when considering how to advance the nation’s environmental and energy goals, good public policy should encourage advancement across a wide variety of technologies," said President and CEO Michael J.
