Driver Behavior
Our members are taking a holistic approach to automotive safety by addressing both protection and prevention. Just as we supported legislative efforts to increase seat belt use and deter drunk driving, we support banning drivers from using hand-held devices for texting and using hand-held phones while driving. We see public-private partnerships as the best way to examine new research, regulations, and opportunities to decrease accidents caused by driver behavior.
